About DMRID
The Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy (DMRID) was established in March 2020, with the goal to transition to a modern, digital state, through which to enhance the growth prospects and competitiveness of the Cypriot economy, and facilitate and improve the daily life of citizens.
About Cyprus RIF
The Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) is the national authority responsible for supporting and promoting research, technological development and innovation in Cyprus. The RIF was established in 1996 as a private legal entity structured as a non-profit organisation, and is registered as an Institution, under the Societies and Institutions Laws. The RIF develops widespread activities at the National, European and International levels, with a strong focus on the development of national research and innovation programmes, as well as the representation of Cyprus in European and International programmes and organisations.
ABOUT EU RESEARCH
The European Commission, the executive body of the European Union, and more specifically, its Directorate-General Research and Innovation Department, is the responsible EU body for driving the EU research and innovation strategy and policy making, as well as the dissemination and exploitation of EU research results. The Department also oversees the current EU research and innovation funding programmes, funding and promoting new knowledge and breakthrough innovation and driving the green and digital transformations that are underway in society.
